Project Goals
Complete a years-long home remodel with a landscape the family actually wants to use — daily meals outside, room to host, and a private place to unwind.
Design Challenges
A compact property with existing grading issues, poor circulation, an aging tract-home landscape, and HOA architectural requirements.
Final Solution
The property is reorganized into four connected outdoor rooms — front courtyard, side-yard spa retreat, rear outdoor kitchen and dining, and a separate rear fire lounge — tied together by clear circulation and a water-wise Mediterranean planting palette.

Connect a main residence, secondary structure, and roof deck into one landscape that protects the view and gives arrival, dining, swimming, and entertaining each a defined outdoor room.
Design Challenges
Estate-scale distances, multiple structures, coastal exposure, and a view that every planting height, wall, and railing decision had to respect.
Final Solution
Five connected outdoor rooms on a single circulation loop, built from a short repeated palette of light stone, masonry, glass tile, and coastal-adapted planting, with lighting designed alongside the layout.

Turn an open, unused backyard into four connected outdoor rooms the family can use on a weeknight: shade, cooking, gathering, and swimming.
Design Challenges
An undefined flat lot, full-sun exposure, neighboring sightlines, and a pool that had to feel connected to the entertaining areas instead of splitting the yard.
Final Solution
A covered patio with a stacked-stone fireplace, an outdoor kitchen with a grill and pizza oven, a rectilinear pool with a raised spa and scupper wall, and one light material palette repeated throughout.

A new-construction tract home in Huntington Beach taken from bare dirt to a Mediterranean arrival court and a full outdoor living backyard — California Room, BBQ, spa with fountain wall, turf lawn, garden, and dog run.

Project Goals
Turn an unfinished front yard and a graded dirt backyard into one Mediterranean landscape the family can cook, soak, dine, and let the dog out in.
Design Challenges
A blank-slate lot with no grading or circulation, a backyard that needed to be raised and leveled to the California Room, block walls on three sides, and a compact footprint holding a large program.
Final Solution
Five connected outdoor rooms — arrival court, California Room, BBQ and dining terrace, spa and fountain wall, and lawn with garden and dog run — built from one palette of ledger stone, travertine, stucco, and wood.
